What is Estate Administration
Estate Administration is the process of distributing the assets of someone who has passed away.
This involves identifying and gathering the deceased’s assets, paying any debts or taxes owed, and distributing the remaining assets to the rightful beneficiaries according to a Will—or, if there is no Will, in line with the law.
We provide legal representation in the event of disputes or conflicts among beneficiaries, ensuring the estate is administered fairly and in accordance with the law and the deceased’s wishes.

How long does it take
The timeframe for distributing an estate depends largely on whether it is uncontested or contested.
An uncontested estate—where there are no disputes, all documents are in order, and all debts and claims are cleared—typically completes within about 6 months.
If the estate is contested—e.g disputes over the validity of the will or conflicts between beneficiaries—then distribution can take significantly longer, commonly extending into 1 to 3 years or more, depending on the nature and complexity of the dispute and whether matters need to be resolved through litigation
